Taglit-Birthright Israel Trip Extensions FAQ
Note: All Taglit-Birthright Israel participants have the option of extending their ticket to remain in Israel beyond the program. Please know that once the Taglit-Birthright Israel program has concluded that you will no longer be under our supervision or responsibility of Taglit-Birthright Israel.
We highly recommend that you extend you stay prior to leaving North America since all seats are subject to availability, contract specifications and specific classes of service by the airlines. Although some airlines permit the extension to be made in Israel, it can be time consuming, seats are limited and winter tourism is high. You will also see that some airlines DO NOT permit extensions once in Israel. Please read each airline caption to understand the restrictions and cost for extensions:
· 12 month maximum stayExtension fee is $240
· Change of return/extension once in Israel for the same class of service ONLY, fee is $150 subject to availability of seats
· All extensions are subject to availability
· All extensions must be made prior to return date issued on original ticket
· Tickets are non refundable for last minute cancellations or no show
· Reservations center in Tel Aviv +972(0)3-513-8000 ext 3 (Sun-Thurs 8.30am-5pm)
· 90 day maximum stay
· Extension fee prior to departure is $140 in the same class of service, otherwise cost may range from $165, $265 or $365
· Change of return/extension once in Israel, permitted subject to availability in economy class the cost ranges from $50, $75 and $175, or $275 depending upon availability of seats
· All extensions are subject to availability
· All extensions must be made prior to return date issued on original ticket
· Tickets are non refundable for last minute cancellations or no show

· 2 month maximum stay
· Extension fee prior to departure is $240
· Extension fee after departure is $240
· Once in Israel, extensions MUST be made by Gil Travel
· All extensions are subject to availability
· All extensions must be made prior to return date issued on original ticket
· Tickets are non refundable for last minute cancellations or no show

*** Canceling your ticket extension, will result in forfeiting the fee paid for the extension. Any further changes prior to departure are subject to all fees.
