House Rep Program

Welcome to the HouseRep Program

Below you will find the steps involved in getting you back to Israel through becoming a HouseRep and referring your friends. You will also see some of our FAQs to help you get on your way!

What is the HouseRep Program?

The HouseRep Program was created in order to give alumni the opportunity to travel to Israel on another free 10 Day trip. Generally those who participate in this program are alumni of a Taglit-Birthright Israel trip; however others who are interested in getting involved in bringing young Jews to Israel can also participate. Involvement in this program allows our participants to play an active role in their community in America, and encourage those who have not yet done so, to experience their Birthright.

What is a HouseRep and how do I sign up?
A HouseRep is a Jewish representative of Sachlav|Israelonthehouse who is usually an alumni of a Taglit-Birthright Israel program. They are motivated and passionate about encouraging their friends, family and people back in the America to travel with Israelonthehouse on a free 10 day trip to Israel. If a HouseRep gets a Full House of referrals, 10 or more people to REGISTER and PARTICIPATE on a trip with Israelonthehouse they will be brought back to staff another free 10 day trip.
Please Note: Only sign up once to be a HouseRep – you do NOT need to sign up every season.

Do I have to sign up again each season to be a houserep?

No!  Once you have created an account this is valid for all seasons.

What does a HouseRep do after they have signed up?
Once you have signed up to be a HouseRep you need to start referring friends. If you refer 10 friends, who REGISTER and PARTICIPATE on a trip , as our way of thanking you for spreading the Sach-Love, we will bring you back to staff another 10 day FREE trip.

How do I refer friends?

  • Go to HouseRep Referrals and Log-in with your email address
  • Add your friends: First Name, Last Name, Email Address and Phone number
  • Click submit

Important notes about Referrals:

  • All referrals must be made online through the HouseRep referral page
  • Please keep a record of all your referrals
  • All Referrals details are important as we encourage them to join our mailing list to receive trip information
  • Cell phone numbers are preferable for contact number
  • You are credited for each referral if they register with us, participate on a trip, you are the first person to refer them and they have not independently joined our mailing list
  • You will only receive credit for referrals eligible in accordance with Taglit-Birthright Israel's criteria
  • In order for your referral to be accepted as YOUR referral, you need to enter them into the system on our Houserep Referrals page.
  • Each referral is identified by their unique email address and only those with correct email addresses are accepted as a referral ( therefore email field is mandatory)

How do I spread the Sach-Love and find friends to refer?
Be creative and use any method to reach out to your friends: Facebook, personal emails, Twitter, campus events, community events, local synagogue, Youtube videos, promotional materials. You name it, you can do it! But please note, in order for them to be accepted as a referral, they need to have been entered into the official HouseRep Referral page on our website before registration opens.

When should I start making referrals?
Start referring right now! Once we have your referral’s details we will be in touch with them on a regular basis to update them about how and when to register with Sachlav|Israelonthehouse. Don’t wait to send through your referrals, because another HouseRep may send your referrals details in first. Only the first HouseRep to refer a friend will get the credit for that referral. All referrals must be submitted before general registration opens in order to be credited for that season.

Please Note: Referrals are NOT cumulative between seasons. Referrals are only credited per season. Therefore, a Full House (10 referrals who register and participate on a trip) needs to be recruited within one season.

Once I have referred my friends what next?
Once you have referred a friend, Sachlav|Israelonthehouse will be in touch with them to give them information about our registration for the season. But your job still continues, as you too need to encourage your referrals and remind them to sign up on the day of registration.

How do I know the status of my referrals?
Once official Taglit Birthright Israel registration opens for the season, all HouseReps will be provided with a status report of referrals ie : who has registered, who still needs to register etc. This way the HouseRep will know who still needs encouragement to register before registration for the season closes.
