Passport Info & Travel Docs

General Passport Information

All applicants must upload a copy of the picture page of their passport into their Personal Trip Profile upon receiving a Trip Offer. The passport must be valid for at least six (6) months after the trip, or the airlines will not issue a ticket. Should we not receive your passport within 45 days before your trip departs, you risk being removed from the trip and your deposit being forfeited.

Please be sure that the name that you put on your online Birthright Israel application is exactly as it appears on your passport. If it is different, even by one letter, please let our office know immediately. Having the names on your application and passport mismatched can result in your not being able to board the flight and/or a financial penalty from the airline.

Applying for & Renewing your Passport

Participants who need to apply for, or renew a passport, should begin the process immediately. This process can take up to 6 weeks. Please visit the Department of State’s Passport Services and Information site Here. The site also has a list of local passport agencies. Expedited processing may be available for an additional fee. For more information enquire at your local passport agency.
