Young Professionals Itinerary


DAY 1: TOUCH DOWN

Once you’ve arrived in Israel and collected your baggage, you’ll meet up with the tour guide and bus driver, and together we’ll begin the journey to the North of Israel. Once you’re settled into your hotel, we’ll meet up for an opening session and dinner. After dinner you’ll have free time or the opportunity catch up on sleep before we officially start our tour the next day.

DAY 2: WELCOME TO ISRAEL!

Today we’ll start our tour by driving up to Mt Arbel to take in the view over the North of Israel. We’ll then journey to the kabbalistic city of Tzfat, where we’ll have lunch and take a city tour of one of Judaism’s holiest cities. Once back at our hotel we’ll get an interesting introduction to the different groups in Israeli society through a presentation of popular Israeli advertising campaigns. After dinner you’ll have free time to relax or explore.

DAY 3: WINE & HOT SPRINGS

Start the day by travelling to the Mitzpe La’shalom lookout, and then to Mt Bental, the famous viewpoint into Syria from Israel.We’ll then venture on to the Golan Heights Winery where we’ll taste a selection of Israel’s finest wines, before leaving for the ancient Talmudic village of Katzrin. We’ll enjoy lunch in Katzrin before visiting the Chamat Gader hot springs. Once we’re back at the hotel, and have had dinner, you’ll have some extra time for yourself.

DAY 4: OLD CITY EXPLORATION


Travel to Jerusalem and meet up with your Israeli peer group travelers who will be joining you for a few days of your trip. Tour the ancient cobbled streets of the Old City of Jerusalem, and visit the Western Wall, the holiest place in Judaism. Meet up with Divon, the CEO of Sachlav. Get ready for a evening out in Jerusalem, experiencing the local nightlife.

DAY 5: YAD VASHEM & SHABBAT 


Start the day with a visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, to pay your respects and discover the stories of victims and survivors. Head back to the hotel to prepare for Shabbat. Walk to the Kotel for a special Shabbat candle lighting and Kabbalat Shabbat, then return to the hotel for a festive Shabbat dinner and oneg. Enjoy free time after dinner.

DAY 6: A DAY TO REST & EXPLORE


After a leisurely breakfast, take a walking tour of the Old City walls. Come back to the hotel in time for kiddush and a delicious Shabbat lunch. After lunch we’ll have a couple of group activities to recap on the last few days. We’ll then meet up later for short havdallah to mark the end of Shabbat, before we get ready to go out for dinner and an evening out in Jerusalem.

DAY 7: MARKETPLACE & DESERT ADVENTURE


In the morning we’ll say goodbye to our Israeli peer group travelers before meeting up with renowned speaker Neil Lazarus, who will give us a crash course in Israeli politics. We’ll then take a lunchtime tour of the famous Machane Yehuda Market, before visiting Mt Hertzl, the state cemetery for fallen soldiers. We’ll then leave Jerusalem and travel to Chan Hashayarot Bedouin camp where we’ll enjoy a night of Bedouin style food and stargazing.

DAY 8: CAMELS & MUD MASKS


Wake up for a morning camel ride across the desert, before taking a climb up the ancient fortress of Masada to explore the ruins and take in the view over the Dead Sea. Spend the afternoon “mudding” and floating in the mineral rich waters of the Dead Sea. Drive to Arad and have a free evening out.

DAY 9: 
ISRAEL THEN AND NOW

Take a tour of the ancient port city of Jaffa, and visit the famous Jaffa market where you’ll have time for lunch and souvenir shopping.  After lunch we’ll visit the Rabin Center which is a museum dedicated to Israel’s most recent modern history. After this we’ll take a guided walking tour of Tel Aviv’s most famous street art. In the evening we’ll head out for a taste of the famous Tel Aviv nightlife.

DAY 10: 
IT’S A WRAP

Visit the Taglit-Birthright Innovation Center to see some of the most amazing technological advancements made by Israelis, which are affecting the world. Take the afternoon to explore Tel Aviv as you wish. Meet up with your group at the end of the day for a farewell dinner and closing session. Have some free time in Tel Aviv before we leave for the airport.
