Israel Vibe
Israel Vibe is the ultimate introduction to Israel, which is all about getting maximum exposure to the best that Israel has to offer, making new friends, tasting the culture, embracing the adventure, and digging into the hidden mysteries of your Jewish heritage. You will sightsee, kayak, wine taste, and camel ride your way through all of Israel. This trip is your chance to experience Israeli hospitality & tradition, soak up the sun on some of the best Mediterranean beaches, taste delicious local food, experience some of Tel Aviv’s trendiest clubs, get to know IDF soldiers and create lifelong connections.
Please Note: This trip is run for groups ages 18 to 22 and 22 to 26.
Boys Only / Girls Only: In addition to our classic Israel Vibe trips, each summer we run one Girls Only bus, and one Boys Only bus, for those who want the full Birthright Israel trip experience, but in a Modern Orthodox environment. If you wish to reserve a place on one of these trips, please notify us well in advance as spaces are very limited.
On Day 1 we are happy to welcome you to Israel. We will meet you at Ben Gurion Airport, where you will meet your awesome staff. Afterwards, we will head to Zichron Yaakov, a picturesque village established by the early Zionists. There you’ll have lunch before we head to Ayelet Hashachar Kibbutz for an overnight stay.
Day 1: LAND IN ISRAEL
We will start the day at one of Israel’s most beautiful viewpoints, Armon Hanatziv, from which you can catch a glimpse of the Temple Mount and the Mt. Olives. Later, we’ll head to the Dan Stream National Park. You’ll be able to commune with nature and cool off in the park’s natural springs. We’ll grab a quick lunch and then we’re off rafting down the Jordan River. Finally, we’ll end the day at Amiad Winery in the Upper Galilee before returning to the Kibbutz for a well deserved goodnight’s sleep.
Day 2: NORTHERN ADVENTURE
Day 3: WINDING DOWN IN JERUSALEM
Together, we’ll experience Ethiopian Hospitality at Beita Israel and learn about Jewish Ethiopian history and culture. We’ll check out the views at Mt. Scopus before getting some lunch. We’ll then take the rest of the day to rest and prepare for a magical Shabbat in Jerusalem at the Ramada Royal Jerusalem Hotel. Just as Shabbat begins, we will take part in Kabbalat Shabbat- a traditional ceremony for “welcoming” the Shabbat.
Chill and take in the special Shabbat atmosphere. An optional city tour of Jerusalem will begin in the morning, followed by an educational discussion of Israeli social-political current events. A group-processing session will be hosted in preparation for visiting a Holocaust remembrance site. In the evening, we’ll have free time to explore Jerusalem before Havdalah – a traditional ceremony in which we “welcome” the new week!
Day 4: CULTURE SHOCK
Day 5: INTRODUCING YOUR SOLDIERS
On Day 5, we will be introduced to the Israeli soldiers who will be joining us for part of our trip! Together, we’ll visit Yad Vashem- the World Holocaust Remembrance Center. We’ll have lunch and then take part in a tour of the Old City. There, we will visit the Western Wall. We’ll conclude the day with a group meal at a delicious restaurant.
Day 6: HEROES THEN & NOW
We’ll begin this day of inspiration by learning about the region from a geopolitics expert. We’ll then visit Mount Herzl, the final resting place for some of Israel’s greatest military heroes. After lunch we’ll take in incredible views on a 4×4 Jeep Tour by Lagaat Baadama. Wrapping up the day, we’ll partake in a group reflection before dozing off at Kfar Hanokdim.
Day 7: SUNSHINE & MUD PIES
Rise and shine, it’s a beautiful day atop Mount Masada! After descending from Masada, we’ll hit the beach at the Dead Sea. We’ll grab lunch and then head to Tel Aviv for some free time and a taste of city life. We’ll lodge for the night at Spot Hostel Tel Aviv.
We begin with a choice of extra sleep or a city tour not far from the hotel. We’ll have lunch and then visit Sons of Abraham Kindergarten, a dual-lingual kindergarten for Jewish and Arab children. We’ll catch a wave at Galim Surf School and conclude the day with a group activity led by the Israelis.
Day 8: CITY LIFE
On our second to last day, we’ll visit the ANU Museum of Jewish People. Afterwards, we’ll have our last group reflection on all we have experienced throughout this extraordinary trip. Afterwards, Tel Aviv is ours to explore. We’ll have some free time to roam before we’ll gather for a tour of Rabin Square, an Israeli landmark of political and social significance. Finally, we’ll share our last dinner together at a local Tel Avivian restaurant.
Day 9: TAKE IT ALL IN
We’ll enjoy a nice breakfast together before driving to the airport for goodbyes.
